SUMMARY / REVIEW: Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) wakes up from the car crash with minor bruises and narrowly fights off two walkers. She then makes her way further into town to look for Rick.

After killing their two attackers, Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Hershel (Scott Wilson), and Glenn (Steven Yeun) prepare to leave, but a search party arrives in town looking for the slain Dave and Tony. The three remain holed up inside the bar until Rick gives away their location and tries to verbally negotiate with the men outside, stating that they killed Dave and Tony in self-defense. The group responds by firing at Rick’s group which initiates a standoff.

Back at the farm, the group notices that Lori is missing. Carol (Melissa McBride) finds Daryl (Norman Reedus) and learns that he was the one who let Lori go into town alone, refusing to be an ‘errand boy.’ She receives harsh words from Daryl who mocks her for losing all of her family and being alone and insults her for not minding her business. She later exchanges glances with him when the group is gathered around for a meeting, however he’s visibly annoyed by her presence.

Carol tells Shane (Jon Bernthal) that Lori went to town to look for her husband and Shane promptly rushes to locate Lori. He later meets her further down the road and deceives her in to thinking that Rick and the others are already back. When she finds out he lied, Shane tells her he was concerned about the baby – inadvertently revealing to the others, including Carl, that she is secretly pregnant. Carl asks to name the baby Sophia if it turns out to be a girl. Shane and Lori have a private talk about their past relationship. Much to Lori’s objections, Shane says he believes their feelings during the short-lived affair was real and is convinced that they were meant to be together.

In town, Rick’s group devises a plan to escape the bar. Glenn and Hershel retreat from the rear, Hershel covering Glenn’s back. An attacker ambushes Glenn who is saved by Hershel. Attracted to the noisy gunfire, a horde of walkers swarms the town. The surviving attackers cease fire and retreat from town. One attacker, a young man stationed on a rooftop, attempts to make a hasty retreat with his group by jumping from a building into a waiting truck below. He instead lands on a fence and impales his leg as his group deserts him. As the walkers close in, Rick is determined to rescue the boy but there is no time for Hershel to safely amputate the leg. The boy cries for them not to desert him and Rick forcefully thrusts his leg off of the pole as the group narrowly escapes.

Upon returning to camp, Hershel immediately operates to save the boy’s leg, but he states the boy sustained nerve damage and will not be able to walk for a week. Rick’s decision to return with the boy is met by skepticism from Shane who believes this to be a risky decision. Rick says that he blindfolded the boy on the way back to camp and argues that his group left him for dead and will not think of returning for him. Rick plans to send him away once he has recovered, much to Shane’s disagreement. Hershel reminds the hotheaded Shane to ‘keep his mouth shut’ if he wants to stay on his farm. Andrea (Laurie Holden) consoles Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and tells her to be strong for her sister, Beth (Emily Kinney), who is still in a comatose state. Dale (Jeffrey DeMunn) is shocked to hear that Andrea still agrees with Shane’s actions when she states that Shane has done more to keep the group safe than anyone else, including Rick. Maggie expresses her disappointment with Hershel for disappearing and drinking. Glenn attempts to distance himself from Maggie, telling her that their relationship caused him to lose his focus during the shootout in town.

Still frustrated with Shane, Lori tells Rick that Shane is delusional in believing the baby is his and that their affair was not a mistake. She suggestively whispers to her husband that Shane is dangerous.

MOST SHOCKING SCENE: Lori survives the car crash and shows she can kick some walker-ass as well.
